Fees and financial support

There is no conference fee! The coffee breaks and conference room costs are taken in charge by the organizing MecaNano COST action.

MecaNano will strive to refund travel costs of as many participants as possible within budget limits, according to COST rules (encourage venue of early career researchers, ITC researchers, and ensure gender balance). As per COST rules, a daily allowance of 150€ will be provided that is used to cover hotel, meals, and short distance travel to the event. Costs over the daily maximum cannot be reimbursed by MecaNano. Airfare and train costs of distances more than 101 km will be reimbursed based on the travelling tickets cost (please choose the cheapest solution in economy class).

Unless otherwise stated, the participants are expected to cover their own travel costs and pay for their own meals. Please understand that COST rules do not allow us to subsidize full meals.

A conference dinner will be organized with more details to come.

If you are selected for travel reimbursement, you will be contacted during the week after the closure of the early bird registration period. Please register on time if you want to request financial support.

REMEMBER: Only members MecaNano will have the opportunity to have their travel refunded. If you are not already a MecaNano member, please join (no fees!) through the e-COST platform. Please apply well in advance (ca 1 month) before the general meeting.
